Candon City, Locos Sur –Governor Jeremias Singson  emphasized  the crucial role the teachers  play in shaping the future the country and the nation, during the Kick-off Program of the 2024 National Teacher Month, September 5,  at Candon City Arena. 

The heartfelt message was delivered by Provincial Board Member Ericson Singson on behalf of Governor Jeremias Singson.

Governor Singson highlighted the dedication of teachers, whom he described as weavers of dreams, builders of a better future, and the foundation of our communities. 

He acknowledged the challenges teachers face, from pandemic to natural disasters, but emphasized their resilience and commitment to their students.

"Your efforts do not go unnoticed," Governor Singson stated, "Your influence reaches far beyond the classroom. You are the pillars upon which our community stands, and we are grateful for your tireless work."

Governor Singson also extended a warm welcome to the teachers, inviting them to experience the rich heritage of Ilocos Sur, a province where history, culture, and education converge to create a truly unique and inspiring environment.

The celebration aims to foster a sense of unity and appreciation for the vital role of teachers in the community. He emphasized the importance of supporting teachers, stating, "When we support our teachers, we are not just aiding one person, but we are uplifting an entire community, an entire nation."

Governor Singson concluded his speech with words of encouragement "Ipagpatuloy natin ang maging matatag para sa bata at para sa bayan as one DepEd, one Ilocos Sur."
