The Candon City Arena has officially opened its doors during the city's 22nd Cityhood Anniversary and culmination of Tobacco Festival.

The arena has a seating capacity of 8,000 which will serve as convention center expected to bring opportunities for the city to host national and international events, conventions, exhibits, and conferences. Its first and second floors houses satellite offices for national government agencies such as DOLE, DFA, PRC, and CSC. It features basketball and volleyball courts, command center and staff house, and restaurants with an overview of the West Philippine Sea.
